Boat Tours & Shelling Trips For the exclusive enjoyment of our guests, we offer Capt’n D’s Charters! From bay to gulf, dolphin to manatee, shelling to sunset, we have it all! Learn little known facts about the history of the island and our amazing wildlife while cruising along the coast. SHELLING TRIPS are the best way to get your “Treasures from the Sea”. These popular charters are usually between 4-6 hours long and transport you to the islands of Upper Captiva or Cayo Costa that are accessible only by water. You may bring a picnic lunch or talk your Captain into grilling something on the beach. The going rate for this type of private chartered adventure usually starts at $75.00-and up per person with other local captains. Capt’n D’s guests of the Kona Kai may contribute $40.00 per person toward the expenses of the boat. Most often our guests recall this trip as the highlight of their vacation. SUNSET CRUISES are truly a romantic experience. Glide through sun-kissed waters under a dazzling sky with that special someone. These trips can be customized to your desires, therefore the itinerary will vary. Suggested contribution to expenses is $20.00 per person. LUNCH & DINNER CRUISES - Chart your course for a jolly good time at a salty spot! Lunch cruises are accompanied by a trip through San Carlos Bay, and, if you’re lucky, maybe a dolphin or manatee show! Dinner cruises can follow the same course as lunch cruises or may be incorporated with a cruise at sunset. The possibilities are truly endless- after all- we are here to make you have fun or walk the plank! Suggested contribution for these memorable cruises is $20.00 per person.
